Audio Quality for OBS
- Audio Quality affected by
- quality of microphone (microphone with directional sound recording, and wind shield for mic help improve the noise)
- quality of audio cable linking between mic and pc also counts (bad quality audio cable may cause spark sound in audio record)
- OBS per audio input setting:
- there is a “Gear” setting icon next to each input audio source, the one with sound metering panel.
- click on the audio gear icon, choose filter. the Filter for mic/aux will show.
- play with Noise Suppression and Noise Gate filter, for increase volumn, try Gain filter
- normally, it is better to get good mic than software filter the sound.
Record a area of screen
- in source, add display as source, with option to capture mouse
- then right click on display and choose filter, add a crop filter
- for 2560×1440 screen, to crop to 1280×720, just put left + right = 1280, top+bottom = 720
- in setting,
- output, choose mp4 h264
- video: base canvas 1280×720, output 1280×720, 30fps
- audio: 44khz
- zoom h1 as USB record device,
- also make sure Zoom ASIO driver (from zoom support page) is installed on machine to record correctly
- when start device with USB plugged, press record button on zoom h1 and choose audio mode instead USB mode
- and press record button on device to choose 44khz for record when flash kHz mode,
- then the sound will be correct
