My Next manual lens is probably Samyang 800mm f8 mirror, (Got a 400mm prime instead)
then maybe Samyang 85mm f1.4,(not necessary for that shallow dof as it totally blur away the background at f1.4)
then maybe Samyang 8mm APSC fish-eye (Bought for fun, and really fun, then sold)
As you can see, nowadays, only Samyang (re-branded Rokinon, Opteka, …) still produce good cheap manual lens.

Pentax, Canon and Nikon
Super telephoto lens is one of the key products that demonstrating the most superior manufacturing capability and best technology of an optical instrument manufacturer.
- In 2011 and modern today with all the Autofocus DSLR world, Canon is still producing super telephoto lens from 400mm f4.5 (1444 USD) to 500mm F4 (7000 USD), 600mm F4 (9000 USD) and 800mm F5.6 (12,000 USD);
- while Nikon currently only 600mm F4 (9800 USD)
- Pentax, the longest lens currently still in production is 300mm F4 (1200 USD)
- Sigma also gives a lot of options from 500mm to 800mm
- Look back in 1960s-1980s, in the manual focusing era, Pentax has produced lots of extreme super telephoto lens like A 1200mm F8, M 2000mm F13.5 Mirror, K 135-600mm F6.7 Zoom, and shorter ones like 500mm F4.5

Steps of setup for usage with manual lens
- switch to “M” mode on the top dial
- (if you have mount the manual lens) choose the “Input Focal Length”
- Press “menu” button
- under “Camera icon page 1” > D-range setting > Highlight correction: on (if you choose on, you can only use iso 200-6400 range)
- under “Camera icon page 2” > AF mode > AF.A
- under “Camera icon page 2” > Select AF Points > 3rd option
- under “Camera icon page 3” > Live view > Bright / Dark Area : check
- under “Camera icon page 3” > Live view > Autofocus mode > 11 points
- under “Camera icon page 3” > RAW file format > DNG
- under “Camera icon page 4” > Green Button > 1st option (the green button)
- under “Camera icon page 4” > Memory > choose the info you like to store in the image EXIF
- under “Camera icon page 4” > Shake Reduction : on
- under “Camera icon page 4” > Input Focal Length (change if it is wrong, or you did not enter at the startup)

- under “Setting icon page 2” > Copyright information > (Here is where you enter your name)
- under “Setting icon page 3” > format (format your SD for ready use)

- under “Customize 'C' icon page 1” > 3. Expanded Sensitivity > On option (if you want to use 100-12800 full range)
- under “Customize 'C' icon page 3” > 18. Saving rotation info > 1 as yes
- under “Customize 'C' icon page 3” > 20. Power lamp > low or off
- (if you don't want to camera to be detected, then use off, so the blue light on top of camera will not lit)
- under “Customize 'C' icon page 3” > 21. Catch-in Focus > (Pentax AF SLR and DSLR all have catch-in-focus, put on manual lens, then turn on AF switch, press all the way down and hold shutter button, then turn the focus ring slowly, once in focus, camera auto fires)
- choose “1.off” if you want to shoot with manual lens freely without focus indication aid
- choose “2.on” if you want to shoot with manual lens restricted, so that camera will only allow you shoot when it thinks you focused correctly
- under “Customize 'C' icon page 4” > 22. Using Aperture Ring > 2. Permitted (this one must choose, or camera won't like you shoot with non-A manual lens)
